In December 2021 the population of the country paid 21.6 billion hryvnias for housing and communal services (71.1% of the sums charged for this period).
At the end of December 2021 public debt for payment for the supply and distribution of natural gas amounted to 33.8 billion hryvnias, for the supply of thermal energy and hot water - 26.6 billion hryvnias, for the supply and distribution of electric energy - 7.7 billion hryvnias, for centralized water supply and drainage - 6.4 billion hryvnias, for the management of an apartment building - 5.6 billion hryvnias, for the provision of household waste removal services - 1.3 billion hryvnias.
In accordance with the resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 21.10.1995 No. 848 and dated 27.06.2003 No. 976 in December 2021. 4,500 contracts were concluded with the population regarding repayment of restructured debt for a total amount of 49.3 million hryvnias. The amount of payments made, taking into account long-term contracts, amounted to 35.3 million hryvnias.

All regions of Ukraine, except of the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol, and part of the temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Methodology and definitions
Housing and communal services - the result of economic activity aimed at ensuring the living conditions and/or stay of people in residential and non-residential premises, houses and buildings, complexes of houses and buildings in accordance with regulations, norms, standards, procedures and rules, which is carried out on the basis of relevant contracts on the provision of housing and communal services.
The information is prepared on the basis of the data of the state statistical observation "Payment by the population of housing and communal services".
Resolution No. 848 of 10/21/1995 - Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 848 of 10/21/1995 "On Simplifying the Procedure for Providing Subsidies to the Population to Reimbursement of Housing and Communal Services, Purchase of Liquefied Gas, Solid and Liquid Stove Fuel" (with amendments) .
Resolution No. 976 dated 27.06.2003 - Resolution No. 976 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 27.06.2003 "On approval of the Procedure for repayment of restructured debt and making current payments for housing and communal services."
