Announcement:

Successful implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development foresees that 17 SDGs must be achieved at global, national and subnational levels. Besides, «leaving no one behind», the key principle of the Sustainable Development Goals, encompasses not only population, but also territories with different backgrounds and development potential.

On June 17 at 11:00, The State Statistics Service of Ukraine, in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme in Ukraine and the NGO VoxUkraine, organizes an online event to discuss measuring progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals at the subnational level. During the event, Tetyana Tyschuk (NGO VoxUkraine) will present the results of the pilot study «SDGs Progress Assessment in Ukraine at the subnational level based on UNESCAP methodology».

The following participants will take part at the event: Ihor Verner, Chair of the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, Dafina Gercheva, UNDP Resident Representative in Ukraine; Anna Nyzhnyk, Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine; Stela Derivolcov, UNECE; Joanne Evans, Statistical Office of the UK, and others. Representatives of the Ukrainian government, international organizations, and experts from the European countries will discuss their experience in measuring SDGs on a subnational level and provide recommendations for Ukraine.
