The average salary (nominal) of a full-time employee of enterprises, institutions and organizations in January 2022. was UAH 14,577, which is 2.2 times higher than the minimum wage (UAH 6,500).
Compared to December, the average salary decreased by 16.5%. The reduction of accruals in January compared to the previous month occurs every year and is due to the fact that in December the accruals of one-time payments are made: bonuses based on the results of work for the year, for years of service, compensatory payments for unused vacation, etc.
Over the past 12 months (relative to January 2021), the average salary has increased by 18.2%.
Real wage index in January 2022. compared to December 2021 was 82.5%, and relative to January 2021 - 107.4%.

Geographical coverage
All regions of Ukraine, except the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, the city of Sevastopol and part of the temporarily occupied territories in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Methodology and definition
The average salary(nominal) of a full-time employee is determined by dividing the amount of the accrued salary fund of full-time employees (tariff rates (position salaries), bonuses, additional payments, allowances, payment for time not worked, mandatory deductions) by the average number of these employees for the corresponding month.
Real wagescharacterize the purchasing power of nominal wages under the influence of changes in consumer prices for goods and services and the level of taxes and mandatory payments.
The real wage index is calculated by dividing the index of accrued nominal wages (excluding personal income tax and military duty) by the consumer price index. The information is prepared on the basis of the data of the state statistical survey "Survey of enterprises on issues of labor statistics", which covers legal entities and separate divisions of legal entities with the number of employees of 10 or more people.
